Well.
Now, you actually get something for subscribing.
When you subscribe to mkultra.monster, you'll be given access to a private "operator" page that acts (currently) as your private profile, showing you the status of your billing, and so on. It also assigns you a sigil based on the e-mail you used to subscribe, offers you the ability to register a "callsign" to be displayed in the roster on the side of this page (further functionality TBD), the ability to upload an avatar (further functionality TBD), and probably the biggest thing of all: You are automatically assigned a permanent invite-code for my OpenSim grid.

Stay subscribed, cancel, doesn't matter. Once you have that invite code, you can create your account, and explore what I'm building on my grid, and explore the rest of the connected grids across OpenSim, as well!
I didn't want to have my OpenSim grid just be freely open for registration for any and everyone, because the infrastructure is running really well at the moment, and could break if thousands of people suddenly signed up. A better, controlled way to do it, was to have invite codes.
Plus, a subscription helps pay for that infrastructure.
Anyway, your private operator page requires no password, no one-time code: You just enter your e-mail, the same as you used to start a subscription, and you'll be sent a magic link that takes you directly there.
Now, will these functions be expanded upon? Yes. Will there be more things added as gifts and features for subscribed users? Also yes.
So, go on over and check it out.
