Beginning resources

As a way to show what should generally be posted here, and to start with my own resources, here are a few places that you can start in your journey of web development, and reviving the old-net.
Firstly, I have a guide I've written on getting started in web development. This will take you through the process of building a very simple webpage, and then walk you through uploading it to Neocities. It should be noted that I don't fully agree with the stance on AI that the owner and operator of Neocities has, but it's still the best place to set something up for free, especially if you are very much a beginner.

My second integral link for finding unique things to build with, is, of course, GifCities. A collection of gifs, images, and banners pulled directly from actual retro Geocities pages, built by people just like you and me.
