Wuthering Waves Blasts My Nards Off Again

<r>I keep writing about these little (or not so little, almost 200 gigs??!!) gacha games I play that are more like if you said, "Okay, so how about Breath of the Wild but with nearly all women and also anime and a gachapon machine?" And it seems they're evolving faster than Anthropic can lie about ...

Sign up on the fediverse!

If you don't have a fediverse account, and are possibly interested in it, you have two options! Currently, I'm hosting a Mastodon instance, and a Wafrn instance.

Mastodon is mostly strictly the fediverse, and is the most stable software for interacting with it.

Wafrn is a bit different, in that it ...

My Backrooms Gaming Shortlist

<r>So, you went to the theater and you saw the legendary Backrooms film from the mind of Kane Parsons and A24, and you can't get it out of your head. The claustrophobic feelings, the pulsing silence as the walls close in around you, and the way even regular people within the Complex themselves ...

Re: Thoughts on Dune Awakening, and the History of Funcom

Glad you posted this. I, too, dislike giving myself fetch quests just to continue playing a game. I'll be giving Dune a pass... If it were AO 2025 I'd lose months of my life, at least. XD

omni fixer. fixers were so cool.

My first character was an Agent, and being really new to MMOs and RPGs in ...

Thoughts on Dune Awakening, and the History of Funcom

So, Dune Awakening has been out for a little bit now, and, initially, I was real excited to jump in. Keyword there is, "was." I have a long history of buying into Funcom games, and then playing the hell out of them until the playerbase decides they want to go back to World of Warcraft again, and I'm ...

The Sad State of Rift

If you've spent any time being alive before the age of everything being live service and children aging you by saying things like, "What's a Mass Effect?" Or, "Minecraft was my entire childhood." And, let's not forget, "The Xbox One is retro." You aren't alone, and I feel your pain, deeply . If you ...

A note on new user restrictions

If you're new here, you may have noticed that your topics need approval. This is set so that if a spammer joins, I can just deny their post, and ban them outright. If you don't appear to be a spammer and you're posting like a normal person, the restrictions will go away (or should) after you've made ...

To Grind, or Not to Grind?

The topic of toxic grind culture has come up before on my site, but, as it does, it comes up again and again on social media, especially in places where there's a lot of focus on tech and entrepreneurship. As someone whose been doing a multitude of things, for multiple decades, I have first-hand ...

Re: old school

Welcome! And we have some things in common :D I've been a linux mainstay for about 2 years now and it's been great! Either way, enjoy your stay! And yes, sometimes Discord is neat to use, but there are times when I really miss the old days of just logging onto an old style forum, browsing topics ...

Re: Is it Now the Year of Linux?

Yes, Year of the Linux Desktop 2025! Between Wine and Proton (9.0-4, dunno why the default never works for me) I can use literally any Windows game or application I've thrown at it, so there's really no reason not to switch.

Yeah, I agree. There are some anti-cheat using games I kind of miss ...
